Introducing Peace of Mind

Peace of Mind

is Plymouth's first specialist mental health advice and information service. We aim to provide the information you need in order to promote recovery from mental ill-health, whether your own, that of a friend or relative, or that of someone you are working with. We offer advice and information on all aspects of mental health to anyone who needs it - the person with the problem, relatives and friends, and professionals. We can also offer short-term practical support for people with mental health problems to help in dealing with practical problems of everyday life.

Who are we?

As part of Plymouth and District Mind we are the latest in a family of projects which provide a range of support for people with mental health problems living in Plymouth. Information about all of Plymouth Mind's projects can be found here. We are proud to be part of the bigger family of Mind. As well as Mind, the major national charity that campaigns to create a society that promotes and protects good mental health for all, our network includes over 180 local Mind Associations providing services to over 250,000 people annually, and serving most parts of England and Wales.

Our website

already covers the most common mental health problems as well as describing the services that are available at different stages of life. We hope eventually it will contain factsheets about all aspects of mental health with a focus on local services. Please let us know if you haven't found what you're looking for - we may be able to suggest something else that will be helpful, and we also want to identify any gaps in the services offered. Let us know too if you find anything we've got wrong so that we can put it right. You can contact us on 01752 229962 between Monday-Friday 10.00 a.m. - 4.30 p.m, or by email to advice@plymouthmind.myzen.co.uk.
